CMA CGM Brazil Makes East Coast Calls
September 21, 2020 — WorldCargoNews.com
CMA CGM BRAZIL, the largest ship to ever call the U.S. East Coast with a capacity of 15,072 has completed its first rotation through its North American service schedule, ending with a call in Charleston on 20 September. Unlike terminals in LA and Long Beach, which are now regularly handling call exchanges of over 10,000 containers from a single vessel over a period of days, the CMA CGM BRAZIL did not stay nearly so long at the east coast ports. The vessel was in Virginia for around 24 hours to exchange 3,000 containers, while the call at Savannah, Georgia involved an exchange of 5,600 TEU.
